If they can not die, stop the flak from trketing them, as they stop shooting advancing troops to spend 30 seconds blasting the ♥♥♥♥ out of something that will not take a hit. The US planes that recon are industructable, I had one fly through 30 flak installations & vehicles & not die. You can not even press space to find where it is. There is no warning or que for one of the US artillery strikes, you just get smashed. When I try & run from a grenade, as the OKW or Germans, they do nothing for a few seconds. If you set it to fire only at vehicles, then garrison it, it goes back to shooting at everything. I have tried walking men up to them, not firing at, it does nothing. The new British Land Matress never seems to fire with the AI? I see the Brits build them, but never fire them, even as Expert AI.
